Welcome Kindy students

Dear Parents/Caregivers

My name is Mis Michelle and I’ll be the Kindy teacher this year.  I look forward to having your child in my class.  Below is a little info about me and my class routines.  I will have more information to share at our Parent Information Evening to be held Wednesday 10th February, and information about this is below.

In the meantime, please feel free to email me at michelle.beckley@our.edu.au or through the Seesaw app, of which I will be sending login details home by the end of Week 2.

I will be working alongside Ms Lesley who is a long-term experienced TA at Holy Rosary.  I take on a holistic approach to teaching and learning, paying attention to every child’s physical, personal, social, emotional wellbeing as well as supporting academic success. While Kindergarten marks an important transition, it is important that children still get to be children, and this is where play comes into our curriculum. Play provides opportunities for children to learn as they create, discover, improvise and imagine. Literacy and Numeracy will be integrated into learning experiences as well explicit sessions on the mat.

An example of the kindy schedule can be found below.
