Dear Parents/Caregivers,
Welcome to Term 4 at Holy Rosary School. I hope you had an enjoyable break with your children. It was wonderful to see all of their smiling faces at Tuesday’s morning assembly. Thank you for sending them along prepared to succeed with their learning. Could you please ensure they are in full school uniform including shoes or sandals and are ready to learn.
My name is Steve Dowie and I will be the Principal at Holy Rosary for Term 4.2021. I was principal at Holy Rosary from 2001-2004 and my wife Jenny was a Year 1 teacher. I am really excited to be back in Derby and be part of the best school community in the Kimberley. I look forward to meeting you over the next 10 weeks. I can’t believe how beautiful the grounds are looking. It is a credit to all of our school community.
During the holiday break we had some new playground equipment installed in the Early Childhood playground. The new equipment is very popular with students. Our gardeners, Clint and Ken, put in some soil fill at the Villiers St end of the basketball court and seeded the area with grass. This has eliminated a potential hazard area.
