Dear Parents / Guardians,
As part of our Keeping Safe programme, students have been learning about safety in our community, particularly strangers we can trust. The focus has been centred around our emergency services and we have been lucky enough to work closely with the Police of Derby. It is important for students to familiarise themselves with local support systems and understand their role in our community.
On Friday 19th of March, 8.30 am, our class has been invited on a tour of the Derby Police Station. As the venue is very close to school grounds, our mode of transport will be via foot. This requires one road crossing on a quiet street, staff will follow appropriate procedure to block off the road from traffic to ensure student safety.
Please reply via text if you give your child permission to attend this excursion on Friday.
