Newsletter Term 4 Week 8

Virtue of the Fortnight

Our Virtue of the fortnight has been Empathy. We spoke about the Golden Rule which is in all religions and which Jesus asked us to do, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

Prayer for Empathy

Gracious and merciful God of all creation,

You made us to live together in communities.

We are nothing without relationships.

You have given us the virtue of empathy to ensure that we are able to identify with and feel other people’s concerns.

We come to you now asking for the grace and strength to follow your plan and to form a safe, caring, inclusive community here at Holy Rosary. May your gift of empathy lead us to know and feel your presence among us.

We ask this in the name of Jesus, Your Son, who lived to show us your way.

Amen

Staffing 2021

We are sad in the coming weeks to say goodbye to Miss Christina and Miss Bernice who are finishing their time at Holy Rosary this year. Both staff members have made outstanding contributions to our community and we wish them well in their future endeavours. We will be farewelling and acknowledging the contributions of both staff members at our Thanksgiving Mass on Friday.

Christmas Concert

Empathy helps us to connect and live together in a caring, safe, inclusive community and this was very apparent at our Christmas concert on Thursday night. Thank you to Miss Alis and all our wonderful staff, students and parents for a fantastic evening. Special mention to our new P&F team who set up the fundraising stall and made over $600.
