Virtue of the fortnight : Forgiveness
Our Virtue of the fortnight has been forgiveness. Jesus taught us that forgiveness was very important, and central to his commandment that we love one another. He taught us that people will know we are his followers if we show forgiveness to others and love one another. Our focus at Holy Rosary with our students is to instill in them the importance of kindness and respect in how they treat each other and follow Jesus’ example of forgiveness.
Athletics Carnival
We had a great Athletics carnival last Friday and the children showed excellent sportsmanship in a spirit of friendly competition for the day! Congratulations to our Champion students and to Johns for winning the shield! Thank you so much to our parent helpers and Mr Kayde for organising such a smooth-running carnival! Please check out our Facebook page to see all the photos from the day.
Book Week
This week is Book week, we have the Book Fair set up in the library all week, and our Dress up Parade on Thursday morning. We still need more Dads to volunteer for our Dads’ Reading Challenge, our kids love seeing their dads in the school and involved so if anyone cn please get a couple hours off work on Thursday morning to read a couple of books to their kids and a small group of their friends it would be great!!! Please email the school on admin@hrsderby.wa.edu.au if you think you can attend.
